Fall Update

2 min read
For all the people asking, Visual Styles made for the Creators Update should work on the Fall Update with the latest version of both UltraUXThemePatcher and OldNewExplorer (version 1.1.8.4).

As always create a system restore point and disable Mactype, your patcher and your theme prior to updating, then follow the instructions for build 1703 and restart Explorer/reboot your PC.

Just a lil journal to let you know that I made a brief-ish guide of where locations are found in Windows/Vista Style Builder!

Let me know if there's a specific thing you want noted in the guide and I'll add to it. ๐Ÿ˜ŠโœŒ๐Ÿป

Creators Update

3 min read
Same as the last big update to Windows 10, Anniversary, themes made on prior versions will not work on the Creators Update (and may in some cases break Explorer). Good news is third party programs used to change the start menu and taskbar color will no longer be needed, and custom accents are finally possible which is a d r e a m.

I'd love to have all my Visual Styles updated so they work on the latest update but it will definitely take time, as the only way I've found possible is with UltraUXThemePatcher and remaking the theme entirely from scratch.

Nocturnal (my bae) is going to be my priority to remake, I've already made quite a bit of progress, but after that remaking the themes will be a v slow process.

Let me know if there's a Visual Style you'd want to see updated for Version 1703, as of right now I wouldn't be working on more than one at a time, and having an idea of which ones to start w/ would be v helpful.

And if anyone is interested in remaking one of my themes or helping out w/ doing so, let me know. โœŒ๏ธ

I've never written a journal entry before so this is new, hiya!

Nearly 8 months ago I made a guide on Pastebin w/ my very little knowledge of ricing W10, it's become a p great Pastebin that even I use for references, but I was considering making it it's own site, or technically a page on my site (not buying another domain specifically for this guide lmao).

The page would obviously feature the guide but would be easier to browse, and I was thinking of having a way for people to send in what they'd like to add, links to other guides or anything rice on W10 related.

Opinions and suggestions w/ this idea would be appreciated, thanks! ^^
